Our client came to us with a wish list that included a desire to completely re-imagine their master suite into a ‘master retreat’ without expanding the footprint of the house. Their stately, Atlanta home needed some serious upgrades and had an odd sense of scale with a strange floor plan resulting in lots of wasted space. After collaborating with the homeowners, our design team came up with an innovative plan to bring their vision to life. By closing in the second story above the master bedroom, we created a luxurious and private master retreat with features including a dream, master closet with ample storage, custom cabinetry and mirrored doors adorned with polished nickel hardware. Soft gray & white accents and custom features galore set the backdrop for the elegant, 2nd story bathroom. The cheerful, blue laundry room is as beautiful as it is functional with custom cabinets, a hanging drying station, hidden ironing board and steel undermount sink. Another must have for this master retreat included a coffee station and wet bar.
The keeping room is truly a statement with the dramatic porcelain slab fire feature acting as the focal point. The custom built-in cabinetry and updated, modern finishes add a level of sophistication to this once dated space.
The master bedroom’s soothing color scheme and designer furnishings create a peaceful oasis while a “hidden” door adds a fun component to the room. Adjoining is the stunning master bathroom with separate custom vanities and white quartz countertops flanked by framed mirrors with glass mounted sconces and high-end finishes throughout including a luxurious soaking tub and large marble mosaic tile shower.
